First Baseball Game

Landon is playing Fall Ball with cousin Connor.  They're in the 3 - 4 year old league.  Landon has been sooooooooo excited to play baseball.  And the kid is pretty impressive at hitting and throwing.

Hanging out in the shade before the game.

My handsome boy!!

He paid attention so well during the game.  He wanted to do everything right. He's on second base in this picture.  We're glad he made it to second base, because lots of the kids went straight to third base from first.

Josh is helping as an Assistant coach.  With kids this young, it takes three or four assistant coaches......and we only have eight kids on the team!  Landon played first base during the game.  This is my favorite picture from the whole game!!  So cute to see them together like this!

Cousin Connor in the middle.  Fielding........dirt......as short stop with third baseman and second-short-stop.

The Landon-Connor cheering section.

After-game picture.  Dirt and sweat covered.  And the mini-gatorade bottles from team-snack were possibly more exciting than the game.

Mother's Day

We had a nice mother's day outing this year.  We went to the Roswell Mill area after Mass.  We ate lunch, went on a "hike," and took some pictures.  Josh and I had our wedding reception at the Mill and had pictures taken on the covered bridge there, so it was nice to come back with our kids and make new memories here!

Love when they laugh together.

So sweet!

They danced and played together too.

Some rocks and mulch had gotten into their sandals/shoes so I had taken their shoes off so they'd quit whining.  HOLY MOLY their feet were stinky.  They think it's sooo funny, but seriously, next year we're getting washable shoes because their stink is awful.

Someone refused to put her shoes on in a timely manner.  So Josh took the opportunity to take some pictures of her.  Since the pictures were helping her get out of putting her shoes back on, she decided she'd engage with the camera.  Unlike my recent "Photo Shoot" post.

Soccer

We signed Landon up for soccer in the Spring. [yes, I realize I'm posting this and it's Fall]
He played with our neighbor Lucas.
It was a great program for 3 - 4 year olds.  Lots of "games" that were really drills.  Parents on the field one-on-one with their kids, so the parents are learning the drills and interacting with the kids, and it's not "herd ball" the whole time.  Picture 40 preschoolers running around the field.  It sounds like chaos, but was really organized and really well run.

Landon was worn out at the end of each hour from all the running!  We loved it!

We didn't get the professional pictures taken offered by the league.  Josh took some on his own, after we got Landon's hair cut (it had gotten really shaggy).

Photo Shoot

Last weekend I had the kids dressed quite cutely for Mass.  I really wanted to get a picture of Jillian in a ladybug dress.  It won't fit her next year, and I love this dress!!  So I set the kids up to take a picture.  Trying to get a cute, siblings picture.  This is what they gave me.......

Landon: "I'm ready Mama!"
Jillian: "I don't want to take a picture! I don't waaaaaant tooooooo!!!!!"

Landon: "I'll keep smiling, but I'm not sure why.
She's really getting annoying!"
Jillian: "Whyyyyy? Why must I take this pictuuuurrrrre?"

Jillian: "This is terrrrrrriblllllllle!!!!!!"

Landon: "Seriously? She's done crying?!"
Jillian: "This is the best you're gonna get."

Both: "If you say so?!"

Both: "Worst moment ever."

Both: "We're trying really, really, really, really hard to be cute."

Jillian: "I'm D-O-N-E.  I hate getting pictures taken.
I hate this day. I hate that camera. You can't make me smile."

My cousin-in-law had her kids in a photo shoot recently for a kids' clothing line.  Cute clothes, kids get some free clothes and you get some free pictures, etc.  She sent me the contact info of the lady so I could get my kids in the advertisements and the get the free stuff.  She said, "Send her a picture of the kids and she'll contact you about a scheduling a time for the photo shoot."  I'm all about free stuff so went through my latest pictures to find one to send.  Uhm, ya, found this set.  I decided that while my kids are adorable and gorgeous, they are not exactly photo shoot material.

On the flip side, I'm working with a client on identifying facial expressions.  This set of pictures will be quite useful in that activity!!!  Yay for pouty kids!!!
